Korea Serious Game Festival 2011が10月7～9日に韓国京畿道ソンナム市のSeongnam City Hallで開催されます。

大会初日（10月7日）のBusiness Forumでは、セミナーやショーケースデモなどが行われます。基調講演に続いて行われるパネルディスカッションに、シリアスゲームジャパン代表の藤本がパネリストとして登壇します。

今年も8月3～5日にシンガポール Suntec Convention Centreでシリアスゲームカンファレンスが開催されます。

今年は九州大学の松隈先生が登壇し、九州大学のシリアスゲームプロジェクトのリハビリテーション用シリアスゲーム「リハビリウム」など、同プロジェクトの取り組みを紹介するセッションを行います。
また、昨年に続いてIEインスティテュートの和田周久さんも登壇して同社の取り組みを紹介します。

Our 2nd-time Serious Games Conference 2011 (SGC 2011 for short) will take place from 3 – 5 August 2011 this year.
SGC 2011 is supported by MDA (lead agency), IDA, IES, STB and several trade associations including SGI UK (Serious Games Institute, UK), GXA (Games Exchange Alliance) IGDA Asia Chapters (International Game Developers Association), ACM Siggraph and SiTF (Singapore Info-Comm Technology Federation).
 
The event is held concurrently with another event “Defence Science & Research Symposium – on Serious Gaming & Edutainment” www.dsr2011.org
This other event is organised by RealSpace Pte Ltd, a spin-off company from the Mixed Reality Lab @ the National University of Singapore.
MDA has bridged us together as they view good synergy to support both events concurrently to maximize resources to attract a interest from larger set of audiences and hopefully better media coverage.

　今年も2/28-3/4にサンフランシスコで開催されるGame Developers Conferenceの初日と二日目にシリアスゲームサミットが行われます。2004年から始まったこのイベントも今年で8回目を迎えます。

　複数トラック行われていた頃に比べるとセッション数はだいぶ少なくなりましたが、その分テーマを絞って行うスタイルを取っています。初日はゲームズ・フォー・ヘルス、二日目は最近注目を集めているゲーミフィケーションをテーマにしたセッションが行われます。

　ゲームズ・フォー・ヘルスは米国のシリアスゲームの中でも当初から活発に活動が続いてきた分野で、研究成果も蓄積されてきています。これまでの動向をおさらいするセッションやいくつかの興味深い事例をピックアップしたセッション、最新事例のショーケースセッションなどが予定されています。

　ゲーミフィケーションはゲーム開発者の間でも賛否が分かれており、今回はこのテーマについてじっくり議論する機会として設定されています。ゲーミフィケーション推進者による事例解説セッションや、識者が賛否分かれて論点を主張しあうディベートセッションなど、面白そうなセッションが企画されており、どのような議論が繰り広げられるか楽しみです。

3月3～4日にシンガポールSuntec Convention Centreで「Serious Games Conference 2010」が開催されます。

世界各国のシリアスゲーム普及に携わる関係者や開発者などによる講演、パネルディスカッション、ビジネスマッチング、ネットワーキングなどのセッションが予定されています。シリアスゲームジャパン代表の藤本もスピーカー、パネリストとして参加し、日本のシリアスゲームの動向や最近の事例などについて話題提供してきます。

シリアスゲームサミットは2004年に第1回が行われ、今度が7回目になります。シリアスゲームの最新動向を知ることができる良い機会です。一般参加申し込みも始まっています。早期割引が受けられる早めの時期にぜひ参加をご検討ください。

　2009年も、海外で数多くのシリアスゲーム関連イベントが開催されます。現段階でわかっている範囲ですが、下記に一覧を作成しましたのでご紹介します。
　5回目、6回目と回数を重ねてきたイベントもあり、新たに始まったものもあります。あちこちで日程が重なっているものも出てきました。教育系、テクノロジー系のイベントでシリアスゲームの小トラックがあるものも含めればかなりの数に上りますが、ここでは、シリアスゲームやデジタルゲーム学習が主要なテーマとして扱われている（またはセッションのボリュームが多そうな）イベントを取り上げています。また情報を入手次第、随時当サイトイベント情報欄にてアップデートしていきます。

　3月23-24日に英国コベントリー大学で、シリアスゲームと仮想世界研究をテーマとした国際カンファレンス「Games and Virtual Worlds for Serious Applications 2009 」が開催されます。
　このカンファレンスでは、ゲームと仮想世界の教育的、社会的用途での利用に取り組む研究者、開発者が世界中から集まり、この分野の最新事例の発表が行われます。特にゲーム、仮想世界の「応用的研究（これらの技術を利用した教育や研究活動の実践事例）」、「研究の方法論や理論的枠組（参与デザイン研究、データ収集、分析手法など）」、「評価手法研究」の3点に焦点を置いているとのことです（もう少し詳しい概要を下記に抄訳しました）。
　前のエントリーでも少し書きましたが、主催するコベントリー大学 Serious Games Institute （SGI）では、シリアスゲーム事例研究や、セカンドライフやOLIVEプラットフォームなどを利用した仮想世界の応用研究プロジェクトを進めており、それらのプロジェクトの活動状況もこのカンファレンスで紹介されることと思います。欧州のこの分野の研究者、開発者が多く集まる機会ですので、参加されるとこの分野での人的ネットワーク形成のためにもよい機会になることでしょう。
　現在、発表論文を募集しており、フルペーパーの締め切りは11月1日（ショートペーパーとポスターは11月15日）です。優秀論文は、British Journal of Educational Technologyにも収録されるそうです。関連する研究に取り組まれている方は（もちろん採用されれば会に参加して発表する必要がありますが）投稿してはいかがでしょうか。
